The Phase III Renovation of the Chancery Building in Mexico entailed a comprehensive refurbishment, alteration, and upgrade of the HVAC systems as well as the installation of a new fire alarm system. This major renovation presents a challenge as this Embassy is the busiest in the world.
Some other renovations included new ceiling and lighting systems, architectural modifications to exterior windows and doors, electrical modifications, and structural design. Team Cosmo was also responsible for shielding daily operations of the embassy from excessive noise, dust, and general disruption in accordance with the highest U.S. industry standards. This challenge was overcome despite the everyday operations continuing in within the embassy.
The project was begun in September, 1993 and completed about two years later in September, 1995.
